The recent survey on the carriage of Tasers and Firearms was conducted by the Metropolitan Police Federation and a summary of the findings can be found at: http://metfed.org.uk/news?id=7185

The survey questions and results have been circulated to members and are available through the MPF chairman Ken Marsh.

With the Home Secretary's recent authorisation of the new generation Taser X2 Device for police use, a co-ordination group will be convened by Commander for Armed Policing and the Taskforce, to review the MPS position and make recommendations to Management Board on the future strategy.
