As at 28 February 2017, the total number of Police officers who are trained to carry Taser including trainers (who are not operationally deployed) was 4329.

It is not possible to provide statistics for previous years as these are not available.

Based on the number of deployments for 2014 (1944), 2015 (1954), 2016 (2072), this would equate to a deployment rate of 0.45, 0.45 and 0.48 per officer for each of the years (based on the present number of Taser trained officers).
