The Metropolitan Police Service Media and Communication Directorate spent £11,216 and £8,015 (including delivery) in financial year 2015/16 and 2016/17 respectively on all national newspapers.

The MPS 24hr press bureau requires the receipt of these newspapers to ensure they are able to analyse any reporting of MPS issues in order to respond, if necessary, to operational policing matters.

The MPS do not subscribe to any online newspapers.
