As part of the City's 'Bank on Safety' scheme, taxis will be permitted to access streets approaching the Bank junction, but will not be allowed to pass through the junction during restricted hours. The City of London, which developed the scheme, has confirmed that Taxi bays will be provided close to the restricted area to enable them to pick up and drop off passengers, including wheelchair users, during restricted hours.
