Since October 2016, the Metropolitan Police Service has implemented the Case Overview and Preparation Application (COPA) system. This system now allows the reporting of personal injury collisions involving taxis and private hire vehicles to be shown as two separate categories.

Following the delivery of COPA, TfL now has committed to publication timescales later this spring. Road safety figures for the first of quarter of 2017, including a breakdown of collisions involving taxis and private hire vehicles, will be published at: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/road-safety.
