Answer for British Values

Public officials in London and across the country have a responsibility to uphold and promote our shared values.

But British values cannot be defined by a single individual, organisation or cohort of society. There are many ways to be British, and there are many ways to define British values. How we do this should be part of a national conversation.

The mechanism by which public officials demonstrate their commitment to British values, social integration and equality should also be part of this discussion.

There is much to consider in Casey's report, which we will review as we develop a new approach to social integration to ensure London thrives as a fast-changing, diverse global city.
