Since 2012 how many complaints have there been due to PHV Drivers not being able to speak English? Please break down by financial year.

In March 2016, TfL introduced a new complaints handling process. While TfL does hold a record of complaints it has received since then regarding private hire drivers, there isn't a specific category to record complaints received relating to a driver's inability to speak English.

Prior to this, complaints about private hire journeys were made directly to private hire operators and some passengers still do contact the operator directly. TfL does not hold data on complaints made directly to private hire operators.
