Evidence on the benefits of green walls and hedgerows in reducing exposure to air pollution is mixed, although there are other benefits associated with green infrastructure. My support for creating Healthy Streets in London includes the greater use of trees and planting to improve both the urban streetscape and air quality. Such planting will be incorporated in future cycle schemes where appropriate.
