London Councils spend less than one per cent of their collective £477 million public health budget on mental health. Do you agree that mental health must be a public health priority in London? If so, how will you address this?

I agree that mental health must be a public health priority for London. Mental health will be a key priority in my Health Inequalities Strategy and I will ensure that we maximise the potential of the GLA family to prioritise mental health in all policies. 

Additionally, through the London Health Board, I am working with local authorities and health partners to develop 'Thrive London' a citywide movement around mental health involving Londoners, business and the voluntary and community sector.
