The London Curriculum incorporates the culture and diversity of London by making inspiring connections to its people, places and heritage. Several of the existing secondary school units on English, history, and music feature the contributions of black Londoners.

Currently a new London Curriculum citizenship unit for secondary schools is being developed, with expert advice from institutions such as Black Cultural Archives. The programme supported a screening of Talawa's King Lear to schools and young people at City Hall during Black History Month in October 2016.
