Thank you for your response to my question 2016/3081. How can other members of the public find out about discussions your Community Relations team are having with black community organisations and make suggestions about how to address education and health inequalities and raise aspirations?

My Community Relations Team is arranging a roundtable meeting at City Hall between a number of key stakeholder groups with excellent community links and my Deputy Mayor Mathew Ryder.

This meeting will take place on 9 March 2017 and will be an opportunity to discuss education, health inequalities and raising aspirations, among other important issues.

I will be consulting on my Statutory Strategies this year, as part of the Greater GLA's new community engagement strategy to ensure London's diverse communities are able to actively participate in, and shape decisions, policies, strategies and programmes that affect them, resulting in improvements in their quality of life.

This strategy will build on the GLA's established community links and activities, as well as identify new and more effective ways of engaging communities that will lead to strategic, long-term partnerships with key stakeholder groups.
