MOPAC were directly involved in the convention, showcasing the successful work we have done in London to commission services for young offenders and victims who have experienced trauma.

A trauma informed approach to commissioning rehabilitative services is a key part of my draft Police and Crime Plan and I am pleased there is now a national spotlight on this work.

The convention also focussed on devolution, restorative justice, tackling radicalisation and child sexual exploitation, and we will be looking to ensure any learning and innovative ideas from these discussions help inform the commitments in these areas within the Police and Crime Plan.
