Will you ask the Metropolitan Police Service to approach all garages in the London region who have advertised the practice of removing diesel particulate filters (DPFs) from vehicles and require them to hand over the records of the owners?

There is currently no power in law to require garage operators to provide such information to police, but Trading Standards and the Department for Transport do have powers to regulate MOT testing and are the appropriate enforcement authorities.
