Do you think the placement of a foot-operated iBus Communications Button in the footwell of the bus might be a contributing factor to some "pedal confusion" incidents.   Why is this button not hand-operated?

The foot stud is the method by which drivers open the radio microphone to talk to service and emergency controllers, and is normally mounted away from the operating pedals. No confusion should arise as drivers are only permitted to make calls when the vehicle is stationary, not when they might be braking.

There is no accident evidence to suggest pedal confusion incidents have occurred because of the foot stud.
