A constituent has got in touch to raise concerns that some Newham residents do not want the Thames Barrier Park damaged by a development that Newham Council's planning committee has recently voted to approve (application 16/00224/FUL). Will you consider calling in this application to look further at these issues?

The Mayor

The Pontoon Dock planning application was considered by the previous Mayor at Stage One who broadly supported it subject to some further detail.  Because of my interest in the land through GLAP, I will delegate consideration of the Stage Two referral to my Deputy Mayor for Planning, Jules Pipe. He will look into all of the planning issues raised again, including the land use principles, once the Council has referred the application back for Stage Two, officers will make a recommendation to the Deputy Mayor to either allow the Council to determine the case itself, refuse the scheme, or call it in.
