Question

How do you monitor compliance to ensure that when the GLA allocates funding to build social rented homes, the homes built are let at social rents? Does the GLA cross check the rent levels required by the funding agreements against lettings data that registered providers submit to the Homes and Community Agency or CORE database?

An annual compliance audit is undertaken, on a sample of completed properties, to make sure that the GLA's funding conditions are being adhered to, including agreed rent levels. 

The Homes and Community Agency and CORE data cannot be related to specific properties, so the GLA does not use these data sources to cross-check the rent levels.
