Question

I'm particularly interested in Equality Impact Assessment outcomes and how the ticket office closures have impacted residents/stakeholders such as the elderly and disabled community.  Is there any relevant information available at this stage?

I committed in my manifesto to examine the effects of ticket office closures. I am pleased to say that London TravelWatch has now begun its independent review.

I have been explicit in the terms of reference for the review that London TravelWatch should look carefully at the impact of the ticket office closures on the whole range of customers and London TravelWatch will carry out research with both disabled and older Londoners as part of this.

TfL is providing information to London TravelWatch in support of its investigation and I look forward to the outcome. The results will be published once London TravelWatch has finalised its report by the end of the year.

TfL conducted an Equality Impact Assessment of the customer impact of the programme before the ticket office closures began, and before the new stations operating model was introduced in May 2016. I have asked TfL to share this report from March 2016 with you.
