Between September 2014 and September 2016 there were a total of seven recorded offences across London that are classified as "Causing explosions, sending explosive substance or throwing corrosive fluids with intent to do grievous bodily harm" whereby acid has been identified as used during the offence.

Please find the spreadsheet attached as Appendix 3887 showing the results by borough over this period.

There is a separate feature code that can be added to offences (Noxious or corrosive liquid used) but it is not possible to break the results down by substance as this feature includes (list not exhaustive):

       acid

       urine

       ammonia

       white spirit

       bleach

       corrosive liquid

       pepper spray

       petrol

       unknown liquid
