Question

In the interests of promoting access to GP services, will you make representations to Ministers at the Department of Health to ensure that GPs in the Capital are able to routinely offer 15 minute consultations or longer where necessary for patients with greater needs such as complex or multiple morbidity, both of which are increasing in the capital?

I understand from NHS England that it is up to practices how much time they allocate to patients; some may already have longer appointments for people with more complex needs.

I further understand that the General Practice Forward View makes available a one off 5-year £500 million national sustainability and transformation package to support GP practices as well as additional funding for improving access which will enable practices to change how they respond to demand.
