In response to my question 2016/0008 you assured us that the Operator for the next concession on this line will be expected to place customer service staff at rail replacement bus stops. This was very welcome.

However the line will be closed for 6-8 months later this year. Can you confirm that rail replacement bus services will run during this time and that the stops will be staffed?

TfL will run a rail replacement bus service during the closure, and will deploy staff to assist customers and keep disruption to a minimum.

An extensive programme of public engagement and communication will be undertaken to help the travelling public with planning their journeys. TfL will continually review the effectiveness of its rail replacement bus service to ensure it is meeting the needs of passengers.
