Question

Your response to DECC's Feed in Tariff (FIT) Review consultation highlighted a number of RE:NEW and RE:FIT solar projects were at risk as a consequence of the Government's proposed reduction in FIT tariffs. What is the current status of these projects following the publication of the new FIT rates? How many projects are going ahead and how many projects are now being abandoned?

For RE:FIT, the advanced solar project will shortly be completed and the £2m project is proceeding with non-solar measures first, with feasibility on solar PV expected over the next year. No projects have been abandoned.

For RE:NEW, over £700,000 of solar PV pipeline projects were contracted, a number are progressing at risk, and an estimated £2.7m were cancelled.
