I've delivered a whole host of London-wide improvements to buses, taxis and cycling infrastructure which have helped to reduce average measured roadside NO2 concentrations by 12% since I came to office in 2008. Furthermore, when it's introduced in 2020, the ULEZ will reduce NOx emissions in Haringey by 17% and Enfield by 10%.

Through the Mayor's Air Quality Fund I have provided £306,800 to Haringey to support projects to work with schools and communities to improve air quality. In Enfield I provided £300,000 for a freight consolidation project and I have recently allocated £180,000 to be shared across Haringey, Enfield, Waltham Forest and Barnet to provide staff to inspect construction sites so they meet new emission standards to be as clean and low-polluting as possible.
