Given your responsibilities in relation to tackling health inequalities in London, do you agree with the Local Government Association's call for producers to display the calorie count on bottles and cans as a means to reduce the health inequalities associated with alcohol consumption?

I welcome the proposal from the Local Government Association that bottles and cans of alcohol should carry information on their calorie content to help customers better understand the potential risks, including obesity, associated with excessive consumption. Consumers should be informed so they can make their own decisions.
