The health devolution agreement sets in motion the ability for London to shape health and care to suit London's needs. This will begin with five devolution pilots that will test innovative new approaches to delivering fully integrated health and social care services.

Chaired by me and comprising elected local leaders and key London professional health leads, it is right that the London Health Board provides political oversight of devolution. The devolution agreement lists tackling health inequalities as one of the shared objectives. With my remit for health inequalities and as chair of the London Health Board, we will work to ensure that this opportunity to reduce health inequalities in London is fully realised.
