TfL has investigated diverting route 371 via Kingston Hospital. This would cost an additional £450,000 a year net with the additional revenue generated by an estimated 300-400 extra trips per week day being offset by the 3,000 passengers (around 28 per cent of 371 users) per week day having five to seven minutes added to their trip time.  As a result, TfL do not intend to divert route 371.

Passengers wishing to make the journey from North Kingston to the hospital can interchange from route 371 to high frequency routes 57, 85 and 213 in Kingston town centre. While a through service would have real benefits for some users, TfL considers that the current arrangement is the right balance between cost and passenger benefit.
