The MPS has begun work with partners to upgrade its IT infrastructure in order to prepare for a full roll out of body worn video in the New Year. Once this upgrade is complete, the MPS will begin a phased roll out of devices across Boroughs and Specialist units, with the first phase of over 7,000 devices expected to commence in March 2016. The aim is to complete the total roll out of body worn video devices across the MPS by the end of next year.
