The Transport Committee Report, "Future Proof" contained figures relating to the budget for new taxi ranks and ranks related work (for example, new signs, markings, advertising in the London Gazette) between 2010/11 and 2016/17. On 25th February 2015 TfL said they would provide £600,000 in funding to further increase the number of ranks by 20% by 2020. Can you update the budget figures for 2014/15 up until 2020/21 to show when this £600,000 will be spent.

The £600,000 committed as part of the Ranks Action Plan is available immediately to deliver ranks over the period to 2020.

Since February 2015 TfL has appointed 27 new ranks, of which 16 are also at Night Tube stations.

TfL has already written to all London Boroughs offering to fund new taxi ranks. Following this, TfL has funded the new ranks recently appointed in Brent and they have committed to funding the new night time taxi ranks planned in Redbridge and Hammersmith and Fulham, which will be appointed once the date when Night Tube services will start is confirmed.
