Answer for London Tourism Strategy (1)

Answered By:
The Mayor

Whilst the Tourism Strategy for London is not a statutory plan owned by the Mayor, it is being produced under the auspices of the London Enterprise Panel (LEP) chaired by the Mayor. The Strategy is a direct response to the LEP Economic Development Plan 2036, which highlighted the existing and future potential of London's tourism industry to contribute significantly to London's economic growth.

The Tourism Strategy for London is being produced by London & Partners. However, it will go well beyond London & Partners promotional remit and seek to identify and champion priority actions for the tourism industry as a whole, to help enhance and maintain London's position as the global capital for tourism over the next 10 years. This will include areas such as product development, skills, accommodation, transport, technology, information, standards and packaging, amongst others.
