London Underground (LU) services already operate for 20 hours each day and engineering trains regularly operate overnight. As such, it is expected that the potential for disturbance from night services on Fridays and Saturdays will be limited. LU has explored the use of acoustic barriers, however these are considered to not be an effective mitigation as they cannot be safely installed close enough to the noise source to have a measurable impact.

LU is carrying out a programme of improvement works to keep the track in good condition and minimise noise and vibration. In addition, new rolling stock has been designed to have a more benign impact on the track and lengthen the life-span of the asset.
