The London Cycle Design Standards will be to this network in a reasonable and pragmatic manner. We assess specific proposals on their merits. Segregation will be provided on some parts of the network, though in areas with low speeds and/or low volume segregation is usually unnecessary and shared space would be the preference. Advance stop lines for cyclists are a safety improvement that TfL supports in the right location.
