The A5 corridor study was first submitted in draft with the previous Brent Cross planning application and was reported at the initial consultation stage to me in March 2010.

The brief is to ensure that off-site traffic impacts on roads within the defined parts of the A5 corridor in Barnet, Brent and Camden are properly mitigated and that the proposed development is properly integrated by means of high quality internal and external walking and cycling network connections. The developer submitted their study pursuant to their planning permission, to TfL and Barnet Council for consideration between December 2014 and January 2015. The study was subsequently revised so that by 1st September 2015 TfL could recommend to Barnet Council they could approve it. Barnet Council having regard to TfL advice, agreed the study at their 10th September planning committee.
