When TfL is approached by a resident, local business or property developer with a request to relocate a stop, an initial inspection is carried out by TfL to determine whether there is an alternative site that is suitable physically, operationally and from the customer's perspective.

If a suitable alternative is identified, a formal meeting is held with the Highway Authority and other stakeholders as necessary to agree the change. If not, those making the request would be informed and no further action would be taken.
