Before any significant changes are made to the TfL Road Network (TLRN), TfL carefully assesses the expected impacts arising from the proposals to determine their effect on all road users, and the likely benefits and disbenefits of those changes for each user group.

This assessment includes a Road Safety Audit and network impact analysis on the wider transport network. Wherever possible, this appraisal is undertaken in advance of the detailed public consultation so that relevant information - such as traffic modelling data - is published during the consultation.
