The immediate priority for the London Overground network in this area is to provide for a link to the Crossrail and HS2 lines to improve connectivity.   Following a public consultation last year, and extensive technical analysis, TfL have decided to progress the option which would see two Overground stations delivered at Old Oak Common (Option C).

Having looked at this suggestion, TfL have concluded that it would not be possible to serve Acton Mainline station without adversely impacting on capacity and journey times, or increasing conflicts with freight services at West London Junction or on the Poplar lines.
