As part of the engagement with trades unions on our broad proposals to transform and modernise London Underground, TfL first discussed Night Tube on 21 November 2013 confirming that its implementation would be subject to consultation with the trades unions. This was about 21 months before the commencement of the extended service planned for 12 September 2015. The public announcement about when Night Tube services would commence was made on 23 September 2014.
