Boroughs are structured to meet local priorities.

Hammersmith and Fulham does not have a Violent Crime Unit, it has a main office that deals with all major crimes, including non-domestic violent crimes, as well as frauds, thefts and serious damage. The current Main Office staffing level at Hammersmith and Fulham is 1 Detective Chief Inspector, 1 Detective Inspector, 3 Detective Sergeants, 15 Detective Constables and 3 Constables.

The Community Safety Unit deals with Violent Hate and other non-violent offences and is staffed by 1 Detective Inspector, 3 Detective Sergeants and has 15 Detective Constables and 3 Constables.
