Question

While I welcome the new Cycle Superhighways, I have expressed concerns about the narrowed width in some places. Can you give an assurance that, where possible, angled kerbs will be used to provide the maximum effective width, increasing capacity and making the paths safer?

TfL has designed the Cycle Superhighway routes to provide the maximum cycle lane width possible within the space available on London's road network. I can confirm that angled kerbs are indeed being used at some locations on the Cycle Superhighways network, including at identified pinch points.
