What research is TfL and/or the GLA carrying out or commissioning on cycling in London? Can a register of all research be published, along with expected publication dates for the results? Can this register be permanently placed on the TfL/GLA website and updated with new research on an ongoing basis?

TfL already undertakes extensive research into cycling in London and all research published to date is available on TfL's webpages at the links provided below. This includes the Central London Cycle Census, which was conducted following the launch of my Vision for Cycling.

More recently, TfL published the International Cycling Infrastructure Best Practice Study (2014) and the Pedal Cyclist Fatalities in London: Analysis of Police Collision Files (2007-2011). In addition to these, TfL publishes the annual Attitudes to Cycling in London and Travel in London reports that provide valuable insights into cycling in the capital.

I welcome the suggestion to consolidate cycling research on the TfL website and I have asked TfL to ensure cycling research is accessible from a central location and kept up to date as new research is published.
