Overall, lift reliability on the Tube network is very good with lifts available for 99 per cent of scheduled hours during 2013/14 (excluding planned works).

In addition to planned refurbishment and replacement works, lifts can be taken out of service for a variety of reasons. These include technical problems, passenger action or when there is no staff member present with necessary training for the lift to be in service, although such occasions are rare.

TfL also continuously monitors lift reliability on the Tube network and this information is available to view on its website:

TfL is compiling the detailed information you have requested about individual lifts and will forward this to you as soon as possible.
