HS2 Ltd. is designing major roads without Gilligan-standard segregated cycleways - which will require greater bridge spans than currently planned (over Victoria Road and Old Oak Common Lane). My constituent would like to know how the MDC will be able to get them to change their mind?

HS2 Ltd has proposed cycling improvements along Victoria Road and Old Oak Common Lane.  TfL is working with HS2 Ltd and the MDC to further improve these, to ensure that cycling facilities for the Old Oak Common area meet the standards set out in the my Cycling Vision.  The MDC will work to ensure that the major regeneration opportunity at Old Oak is exemplar in every regard, including cycling facilities.

Both TfL and the GLA have included, in their respective HS2 petitions, improvements to cycling facilities serving the new HS2 station.

The Cycling Commissioner has asked for a briefing on the progress of this.
