Question

I am unhappy with the response you provided to question 2014/4991 regarding the MPS commercial programme as it did not fully address the question asked- which was clear.

Please detail which specific functions under each of the following headings are being considered for commercialisation:

(For example in the Assembly's Budget and Performance Committee on the 6th January 2014 we heard that HR Payroll was being considered under Business Support Services)

1)    Corporate Real Estate,

2)    Transport Services,

3)    Business Support Services,

4)    Logistics,

5)    ICT Services,

6)    Command and Control,

7)    Criminal Justice

The commercial programme consists of:

Corporate Real Estate - This is an outsourced service.

Transport - This is an outsourced service.

Business Support Services - With the exception of payroll and pensions which is an existing outsourced service, these services are currently at the outline business case stage.

Logistics - With the exception of the National Managed Uniform Service which is currently out to tender, these services are currently in the process of being scoped or are at the outline business case stage.

ICT Services - This is an outsourced service.

Command and Control - This is a contract for the Command and Control system, it is not an outsourced service.

Criminal Justice - This is currently being scoped and consists of a number of administrative and IT areas supporting prosecutions.
