Question

I was pleased to see that Alexandra Palace and Palmers Green stations received Access for All funding after my repeated calls to make these stations step-free. However, there are still a number of stations in Enfield and Haringey that have no step-free access. Can you tell me which rail stations in my constituency of Enfield & Haringey are now on TfL's list of priority stations for Access for All Funding?

I wrote to the Secretary of State for Transport in 2013 with TfL's nominations for Access for All funding to improve the accessibility of a number of stations around London.  Both Alexandra Palace and Palmers Green were included in this list. I was therefore delighted to hear that the Government has agreed to fund step-free access at Alexandra Palace and Palmers Green, alongside eight more stations in London.

The remaining station in your constituency that is on the original list of high priorities set out in my Accessibility Implementation Plan is White Hart Lane. TfL will continue to seek opportunities for funding step-free access at this station and would be very interested to hear of any commercial development opportunities in Haringey which you are aware of that could unlock funding.
