The proposed Ultra Low Emission Zone will only apply to road transport. There will be no new emission standards or charges for river traffic as result of the proposed scheme.

However, I continue to work with river-based transport providers and the Port of London Authority to encourage the use of ultra-low sulphur diesel and other clean fuel technologies for river transport.
