The bus network will be increased by 5 per cent in net kilometres between now and 2020 equivalent to a 500-vehicle rise in the bus fleet.  I cannot give you the exact routes they will ply.

Their deployment will develop in response to customer demand. Currently the network is regularly adjusted to meet demand and protect reliability

TfL will identify the routes where the extra vehicles and mileage will be most effective to support passenger growth, new homes and business developments, additional employment and economic activity, and, of course, to alleviate overcrowding.

The extra vehicles will enable increased service frequencies and better transport connections to key growth areas, such as parts of outer London like Barking Riverside, and schemes to mitigate the effects of increased traffic on bus journeys.
