The London Ambulance Service (LAS) is having recruitment problems and there are a number of reasons for this; including the costs of further education, the high demands placed on the ambulance service in London and the general cost of living. I have written to the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt MP, on this very issue.

The best way to address housing costs is to increase supply, and that is why is I am committed to boosting the supply of homes in London to at least 42,000 a year, roughly double the current level of output. I am on target to deliver 100,000 affordable homes over my two terms, the most that the capital has seen for decades.
