The Mayor

I am personally due to meet the new Chair, Rt Hon Greg Barker MP (PM's Climate Change Envoy) and Deputy Chair Paul Turner (Sustainable Business Director, Lloyds Bank) of the London Sustainable Development Commission (LSDC) on the 6th January.

My advisor, Matthew Pencharz has met the LSDC, on my behalf, on a number of occasions, including most recently:

       Met outgoing LSDC Chair on 10th November

       LSDC October meeting  - to thank Chair and Commissioners who were leaving

       Spoke at Green Means Business report and London Leaders launch event - 27th November

       Interviewed candidates for the new Chair and Deputy Chair of the LSDC in October

       Regular meetings with Sustainable Development manager

The LSDC and my advisor regularly discuss the LSDC work priorities and have agreed to focus this around my jobs and green growth agenda.  More specifically I have tasked the new Chair and Deputy Chair to pay particular attention to work to accelerate the growth of low carbon industries in the capital and to support the delivery of London's Infrastructure Plan.

I have also invited the new Chair of the LSDC, Greg Barker to join senior figures from the public sector and some of the UK's biggest firms on my new Infrastructure Delivery Board, which will play a key role in helping meet the challenges posed by population growth.
