The Mayor

The Mayor stated in MQ2014-3908, that in relation to the number of London households with children currently struggling to pay energy bills "household composition of fuel poor homes is not available at a regional level". With fuel poverty projected to increase this year, will the Mayor therefore commission, as a matter of priority, a study to determine how many London children are living in fuel poor homes?

I am fully committed to tackling fuel poverty in the capital. As part of my engagement and lobbying work, I am encouraging the Government to make available more data at a regional level through the introduction of a "regional indicator", as part of DECC's new fuel poverty strategy for England.
