It is understood that the majority of affordable housing delivery funded by the GLA utilises some form of off-site construction. A notable innovative example is the funding provided to Sanctuary Housing delivering 79 homes utilising modular building techniques at Sanctuary Green Point in Colindale, which is being built by Mar City.

Schemes that are being delivered on GLA land that are utilising off site construction include the Amberley Passivhaus scheme in Rainham, currently under construction by Climate Energy Homes and the Floating Village in the Royal Docks, which will be constructed using mainly off site construction techniques.

I am also currently exploring the potential of specifically targeting the MMC market via a land disposal on GLA land in East London to encourage an exemplar scheme.
