What plans do you have for improvement to and promotion of this relatively lightly used line when it transfers to TfL? Are you aware of aspirations for a second intermediate station, and do you support this idea?

TfL will take responsibility for services on the Romford to Upminster route on 31 May 2015. A customer information campaign will inform passengers of the new operator and the benefits they can expect to see. These changes will be introduced from the date of transfer onwards.

TfL will implement a long term programme of improvements at Emerson Park station. The station will be deep cleaned. Help points, CCTV and an improved customer information system will be installed. Staffing levels will be increased and customers will benefit from better passenger information, fully integrated with existing TfL service and customer information. In addition, weekday services will be extended by 2 hours in the evening, meaning that trains will run until 22.00. TfL is also working towards the introduction of a Sunday service on this route.

New trains will be introduced to the network from 2018 and will provide higher standards of ambience and comfort, including WiFi, air conditioning and walk-through carriages. In the interim period, TfL will refurbish and maintain the existing fleet.

I am not aware of any proposals to build a new station on the route.
