Discussions between TfL, the London Borough of Hackney and the developer (Berkeley Homes) are continuing regarding a highway improvement scheme as part of the wider regeneration programme for the Woodberry Down Estate.

A number of options to improve pedestrian crossing facilities are being considered, including surface-level crossing facilities and the possibility of a footbridge. Whilst the footbridge option has not been ruled out, this would be an expensive solution and providing fully accessible ramps would require a significant amount of land.
